Green University Hosts Seminar on International Higher Education Opportunities

Rupganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh – October 2, 2024: The Green Center for International Affairs (GCiA) successfully organized a seminar titled “Higher Education Opportunities Abroad for Bangladeshi Students” on Friday, September 27, 2024. The event featured a distinguished keynote address by Prof. Dr. Sheikh Asif S Mizan, Professor and Vice Chancellor of the Daaru Salaam University of Somalia.

Prof. Mizan provided valuable insights into SOP writing and shared tips and tricks for securing fully funded scholarships. The seminar was chaired by Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Director of the Center for International Affairs, who welcomed the attendees and introduced the keynote speaker.

Following the seminar, Prof. Mizan engaged in a fruitful discussion with Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Vice Chancellor of Green University, exploring potential partnership opportunities to facilitate the exchange of international students from Africa to GUB. The meeting was attended by several other senior faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Saiful Azad, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies; Dr. Sirazum Munira, Director of the Center for Career Development; and Dr. Md Aliur Rahman, Chairperson of the Department of Journalism and Media Communication.

The seminar and meeting are expected to enhance the international exposure of Green University students and contribute to the university’s global ranking.
